Fleet Complete continued its commitment to the community this weekend with a team volunteer day at the Cedar Glen YMCA Outdoor Centre and a generous donation to the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
Over 100 members of the Fleet Complete team, including employees, spouses, children, and friends dedicated their time and energy to improving the facilities at Cedar Glen. During the day, the team helped to frame the foundation and lay the deckboards to create two large outdoor decks. Volunteers also got the chance to try out several camp activities for themselves, including wall climbing, walking the high ropes and the archery range.
The team donated over 300 volunteer hours during the day, and Fleet Complete added a generous corporate donation of $5,000 dedicated towards the purchase of deck materials and providing financial assistance to kids across the GTA so that they can have access to a summer camp experience.
“I want to thank our employees as well as their family and friends for volunteering, and for making an impact on Cedar Glen and the YMCA. I would also like to thank the YMCA for the exceptional support they provide to young people throughout the GTA, and for offering a great way for our employees and their families to make a difference in the community,”
– Tony Lourakis, CEO of Fleet Complete
The camp volunteer day was led by Fleet Complete’s CEO, Tony Lourakis, also a proud volunteer member the YMCA’s Development Committee and lead fundraising volunteer of the YMCA’s Teen Initiatives strategy. Tony believes that volunteering and corporate philanthropy are important activities for any company, and that being involved with the YMCA reflects Complete Innovations’ commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
After presenting Brandon MacClounie, Cedar Glen’s General Manager with a cheque of $12,000 from Fleet Complete, Tony took the opportunity to thank both his team and the YMCA of Greater Toronto:
“I want to thank our employees as well as their family and friends for volunteering, and for making an impact on Cedar Glen and the YMCA.
