News: Sponsee, Landen Dutka, closes 2014 with flying colours

Last year, Fleet Complete started a partnership with one of the youngest Dirt Kart race drivers in the United States. Landen Dutka, started racing at age 6, and in a few short years has had some incredible accomplishments with Dirt Kart Racing in the Southeast US Region.

Landen

We would like to congratulate Landen for a brilliant 2014 season with spectacular results:

  • 4 Feature Wins
  • 16 Top Three Finishes
  • 2nd Place for the Jr1 Dirt Devils Speedway Championship Series
  • 7th Place for the Jr1 Florida State Dirt Championship Series
Landen

These are some highlights for the season:

Landen competed at the National Thanksgiving Thunder in Carnesville, Georgia where he raced with 8-12 Year olds. Although this was Landen’s first year of racing Jr1 at the ripe age of 8, him, and his father Brent, felt he was ready for the challenge. After two strong days of racing, Landen was able to qualify consistently in the middle of the field with over 45 Jr 1 competitors. These racers were separated by a 10th of second from each other during qualifying for the main feature. He raced the Jr1 Pro race, and finished 4th in the consolation race, but wasn’t enough to make the main feature as they only took the top 2 drivers. He was able to get some incredible experience with some of the best Jr1 drivers in the country, and enjoyed the track speeds with over 65mph.

“Again, we would like to thank the Fleet Complete Team for all your support in 2014, and we are looking forward to a tremendous 2015 season. We will keep you posted as we begin our Florida State series January 17that Volusia Speedway,”

– Brent Dukta, Landen’s Father

The team was then off to Daytona, Florida where Landen raced at the Daytona Dirt World Championship over the holiday break. This was an incredible opportunity to race in multiple Jr1 Pro classes with (8-12 Years Olds) from all over the country. Daytona is one of the only tracks in the nation that is lime rock, so the racing was much different than most dirt tracks. Each racer had to learn that you have to Turn Right, to Go Left. It was amazing watching the kids slide through the corners with speeds over 45mph to position them for a shot to win Daytona. Although he did not qualify well, Landen was able to bounce back in every feature race by quickly attacking the corners and get up towards the middle of the pack. He was able to finish his first Daytona Championship with a: 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th place in the (4) classes that he competed in.

Stay tuned for more news on Landen’s 2015 season.
